A Few Updates

Wrapping up a lot of things – working in reschedules for rain. Just a day in the life!

This weekend, we are moving the studio equipment to the front of our location where it’s air conditioned. Something we’ll do ever summer, a pain, but necessary. And, I have a few vintage finds to go pick up as well. I just hope the nasty weather that is supposed to be popping in tonight doesn’t knock out power. Too much to do that I need power to accomplish!

At this point, if you are a 2010 graduate and haven’t already booked and paid for your session, we will not be able to accommodate a senior session with enough time to order wallets for graduation announcements. Though, very happy to still get senior portraits done for you! And, why not consider sharing a BFF session with your best friend?

Please also note that some of our session details will be changing starting June 1 for any new clients. You’ll want to watch for those in our online price guide found on the website when that date rolls around. I can’t wait to start working with the class of 2011!

And, on a personal note: I bought myself a little somethin’ something’ for my birthday:

Though I ordered it, I won’t get it probably till after my birthday. I haven’t bought anything frivolous and personal for a long time. I’m kind of excited about this. This die-hard Apple girl needs just one more goodie to add to her collection of Mac stuff.

Hope you enjoy your weekend…don’t blow away!

St. Louis Commercial Photography | Style By Elisabeth

I had the pleasure of helping my friend, Elisabeth Cutshall, with her new business, Style by Elisabeth. Yes, you probably know her from her Makeup by Elisabeth business. Now she offers affordable styling to those in need! I love it!

We chose to photograph outside the studio area. Gosh, I didn’t even realize I had that wooded area with the little creek behind my building. WHO KNEW? The options there get better and better. I hope by showing it off, more of my clients will appreciate the options there and choose it!

I am just now jumping on the editing of Elisabeth’s images, but I wanted to pull my favs out to show her, and you! Take a look!

Grandpa Turned 90, and Other Things

A bit of a personal post here. I have to get my tush in gear to the studio shortly for a meeting and then session stuff. Such a busy time it seems. The rain of last weekend (okay, five days) really was needed and meant that I got to reschedule my session. Therefore, I got to attend the actual birthday party for my grandpa. That made me happy. Now, the rain is coming back again this weekend. Thanks rain gods…mind laying off till we get these last couple seniors taken care of?

Anyway, I have a video of Grandpa telling us how he doesn’t feel 90. And, a bunch of photos we took after the party. I had so much fun with my cousins later that night. I just wish that we all lived closer together. Family is pretty amazing and my relatives are the best. A memorable weekend for sure. Thanks to my clients for being patient while we were closed!

St. Louis Senior Portraits | Callie on Main Street

And, we’re back! I was off since most of Thursday (did a little phone work) to help celebrate my grandpa’s 90th birthday. We had family in town from several states and I had so much fun getting to share time with them all. I just wish we all lived closer!

I’m slowly catching up this morning (remember, we’re typically closed Sundays and Mondays) – so if I owe you a followup, please be patient with  me!

Last week, I finally finished up my last ’11 Senior Elite Model session on Main Street. My Elite Models have been a lot of fun to work with and have taught me so much about how this business works in the senior market. I absolutely adore them all and enjoy every minute of this market. Callie comes to us from Marquette High School and is a pointe dancer as well.

She chose the location of Main Street because it did incorporate some historic feel, along with the river I love! We don’t always get to use the river in St. Charles – spending on the levels, and rain (ack mosquitoes). However, we got lucky! I think these turned out spectacular if you ask me. We’re wrapping up some of the last minute 2010 graduates as well. Unfortunately, we’re booked regarding getting anything done in time to be ordered for graduation announcements. If you do still want to hire our studios for your senior portraits, and aren’t needing prints for wallets, or gifts, please give us a call!

A few sneak peeks for Callie:

Busy Celebrating!

I will be busy celebrating this weekend with all of my family. Many coming in town from Omaha, too. So excited to see everyone. Why you ask?

It’s his birthday! 90 years old! I LOVE my grandpa!

I’m a little bummed because I have to miss the actual party. I scheduled a session during this time, before we had the date booked.:(Unless it rains, I won’t get in on that celebration. But, I am happy to celebrate with them all on Friday and Saturday night. Party on!

My studio will be closed Thursday through Monday – so please leave emails or voice messages! I will be back next week with more blog sneak peeks and pictures from this weekend!
