This wedding was more special for me to photograph than I think I had previously imagined. I know Elizabeth because we have a very dear friend in common, Maura. Elizabeth is best described as organized, poised, and adorable. This is someone that knows what she wants and makes it happen. Every day details are important to her, but having fun and being with those she loves is on the forefront of her agenda.
Eric is a lucky man. I’ve had a few interactions with Eric before this day and you can see the love that he has for Elizabeth. It oozes from his huge grins when he looks at her.
I knew this wedding would be special. I just didn’t realize how special until I was actually there. Sharing their commitment to Eric’s children to a special time I was asked to share as they remembered Elizabeth’s parents (that surely were shining down on them that day). While I tend to get a little teary during ceremonies, I must share that I cried more than one time on Friday. In fact, one time, it was an ugly cry – good thing I was in my car. I get it. I understand it. And, I am so honored to be a part of this day.
Eric & Elizabeth are on their honeymoon in Florida. I hope they are embracing their wedded bliss. I wish them a lifetime of happiness. Thank you for letting me document your day. I also need to thank my mom (my assistant for the day) and Mark (my second shooter) – they really made my job easier and ensured that this couple will have many memories to last for generations to come.
