Senior Portraits | Jasmine’s Magazine Album Template

It was suggested that a fashion magazine would make an amazing senior portrait book…she was right.

I figured ’10 graduate, Jasmine, deserved a full-on magazine style album design to go with her amazingly best dressed photos. Yah. This is my favorite so far.

Photographers, you can purchase this square book template at Pink Ink Studios. It is FULLY layered and fonts are standard fonts that come with your computer. Simply tell the story (Q&A ideas included to get the best info from your seniors.) and output to your favorite lab. I designed these for the MPIX Pro Soft Cover books, but you can adapt to any book company.

My Seniors Kick Your Senior’s Butts!

Okay, I don’t condone fighting. I just thought it was funny as a title. I mean, I do think they are pretty darned awesome. And, they are some of the coolest kids around town. Just let me brag, okay?

A few weeks ago, four of my senior models came into the studio to do some video work for me (which you can see here on our website). Afterward, I had them do some silly faces for me and shot a few fun images for them. I believe in taking care of these kids. They are your faces for a full year. They show off your work. And, if you do something a little extra with them they tend to be more and more excited about your studio. Plus, there’s a whole lot of fun and laughter going on when we’re together. Extra pictures and wallets are just a perk!

Callie, Sam, Brooke and Lexie were my video stars. And, yah, I still think my senior clients kick your senior’s butts!;)

St. Louis Senior Portraits | Meet Emily

For our Friday Feature, I bring to you, one of our model reps, Emily! Emily did a split session with us and shared part of it with her best friend, another one of our models, Kayla. What I love most about this session is that it utilizes all the surrounding areas of our studio. We have so much to use and it really lends itself to some great portraits. When you choose The Split session which is just $200, you get two hours with us! Five outfits in the studio and three outside our studio (10 miles). Seriously, a great deal for a great variety of portraits!

Hi, I’m Emily!

My nickname is Emmy.

I attend Fort Zumwalt South High School and graduate in May! I can’t wait!

If I had $1000, I would buy a new Blackberry. I can’t live without it.

My biggest accomplishment is making new friends in high school and keeping them!

The person I would most like to meet is Lil Wayne because he’s my favorite.

St. Louis Senior Portraits | Callie Shares Why! (Video)

We’ve been recording our seniors and getting them to tell you why you should come to our studio for senior portraits. It’s been fun and a great way to keep our models involved throughout their year with us. Here is one that we’ll be sharing on our Facebook page and on the blog (more coming soon!). Be sure to come to the blog if you’re in a feed reader or on mobile.

St. Louis Senior Portraits | Behind the Scenes with Lexie (Video)

I got up at 5:45 a.m. – I’ve decided the only way to really survive this awfully hot summer is to shoot early mornings. Avoid the heat…and avoid the crowds out there. So, I got up, took care of the dogs, and my mom and I made our way out to St. Charles for a 7:30 a.m. shoot. Brilliant! No one to be around. Except, it started to rain. I sat in the car waiting because I got there about 20 minutes early.

PLEASE LET IT STOP! For once, I didn’t have umbrellas and rain boots in the back of the Jeep. I usually always have umbrellas. I am all for shooting in the drizzly rain. Just not storms.

Then, Lexie arrived and we decided to get in one car and drive up Main Street and wait the rain in certain spots. WE DID IT! We laughed, and had a lot of fun, despite the challenges of working really fast – and a few rain drops pelting the forehead.

Lexie is a model for our studio and is a 2011 senior at Fort Zumwalt East. She’s so adorable and her laugh is contagious. Since we shot this yesterday, I only have a few images to really post. However, the best part is the new Behind the Scenes Video we put together. I want our seniors to see how much fun it is to shoot with us – even in the rain!

If you’re in a feed reader, mobile or email – be sure to come to our blog and watch the REAL video! Or, visit it on VIMEO in HD.
