Long Time No Blog

I am here. The past few weeks have been completely crazy. Thought I’d blog a little bit about what’s happening lately in life.

Our AC started going out which meant time to purchase and replace it, along with a new furnace.

The ignition on the Jeep started giving us trouble, so we had to trade it in sooner than expected.

We traveled to Omaha for my cousin’s wedding (which I photographed).

We returned home to find my computer monitor burned out.

I am sure there is more, but really, I won’t depress you on the amount of money that left this house on things you don’t really want to spend money on. I’d really love to finally buy some new bras that didn’t have a hole in them. Yeah, that’s it.

Anyway, I have photos to edit and share, but will be purchasing this tonight.

I tried to dig out my credit card that Apple uses for financing, only to find out I lost it. No where to be found. I was ready to go replace my monitor on Tuesday when I discovered my monitor burned up while we were gone. No dice. I did have them send me a new one, expedited. It just arrived and I will finally get an Apple LED Cinema Display.

I have temporarily brought my 32″ Vizio tv in here – and it just can’t handle the higher resolution…in turn I feel like someone that needs everything to look giant on it with way too much scrolling. Holy cow.

I currently run all my editing on a Mac Pro tower with 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon processors and 10 GB of memory. It’s my rocket to faster work. I think the monitor will compliment it nicely. I’ve burned out two monitors in the past four years that I paid much less for. So, I am biting the bullet and going Apple…where I know I can take it for the geeks at the Genius Bar to fix should I have a problem.

With everything I felt like we’ve endured the past couple of weeks, I’m ready for something amazing to happen to turn it all around. Let’s DO THIS! Perhaps a nap will get me started?
