Thou art the Iris, fair among the fairest

I know exactly when they are going to bloom – though, a little slow this year due to all the extra rain we have had. This week, just before my birthday, they pop up. They are so tall and majestic. The ones behind my office window are up and past my hip (I’m 5’9″ by the way) and they have such rich, deep colors.

I went out with the macro to shoot them the other day, for the first time. I didn’t have a lot to choose from. So sad that the rain has kept them at bay. They need some SUN! STAT!
