I Am So Inspired!

I’ve been finding some of the coolest inspirations for my home office. And, then some other areas of the home. The following words describe the things I simply cannot get enough of: chippy, worn, and old. This weekend is the beginning of my project. I’m dying to get it done not just because a clean, finished room would be nice…but because I am so inspired to also get creative again. Part of my plans are to have a set place to create. I am ready.

Things that are inspiring me this week:

From over at The Wright House blog, Lehi shows us how she re-purposed an old mail sorter for her camera display. I have a bazillion vintage cameras and have now fallen in love with this idea for my own display. Just have to figure out what I can use that I have, search for and build.

Over on the 7 Gypsies blog, they showed us a stack of suitcases. Then, in the current Country Living magazine issue, I saw a stack of cases that tiered up from floor to ceiling. I don’t know if I will go that high, but I like the idea of stacked cases and beautiful, home-made tags describing what’s inside. For my space it will be crafting goodies. Practical, and PRETTY!

Okay, so bear with me here. I originally found this on Pinterest.com (OBSESSED – love using this site) and then searched for origination which led me to Design Sponge and a before/after feature on their site. But the owner or this chair is ModernPop. Phew, that’s a lot of sources. So, what I love is that it’s a beautiful chair (styled in my favorite styling – vintage and velvet and white), but it has casters! Now, the original had casters, but how easy it would be to turn a chair into something like this for my desk. I currently have a very expensive office chair from Relax the Back (don’t worry, I didn’t pay full price, because I worked there at one time). But, it just doesn’t go with the look I’m going for. So, I wonder what I have at the studio (in my chair stash) that I could use like this?

While I’m always being inspired…I see inspiration in every day things…these are the things I’m loving this week for my new home office style. I realize I can’t have it all, right away. But, I cannot wait to see what I have when it’s this time next year. I can’t wait to start working on all the projects I want to achieve.

I may try and do this inspiration style blog post every week. Or every other week – or just when I feel like it.
