So, of course the dogs need a bed that matches the new office. Right?
I used left over plywood and simply purchased an ornamental applique and a few scalloped trim pieces to make this:

Oh wait, I bought the 1-inch square pieces as well. I think this project cost less than $30. I would have LOVED to have bought this applique for it, but $6 or $16? I can live with something simpler.

The trim on the edge I bought at Michaels for less than $5. It’s pretty cheap, because while I did glue it on, we used some little nails to tack it in place and I split the one. Easy fix with some filler.

Once it’s dry (thank goodness my uncle let me borrow his humongo clamps!) I can fill and sand. The birch plywood splits so bad when you cut it. I learned from my uncle that if you score it before you cut it, it won’t do that. I didn’t follow his instructions this time. The plan is to paint and antique it. I also have some little finials for the posts to put on after it’s sanded and smooth. The pillow for it will be the next reveal!
Yep, my dogs have swagger!
