I met Kim about a year ago through the St. Louis Blogger’s Guild and I have just had so much respect for her. She has a heart of gold and was a willing volunteer for our cold and rainy TTD day this past weekend.
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Kim two times before, even a fun Lollipop Smiles portrait for her position with The Girls Guide to the Galaxy. But, nothing like this! Kim is a recent newlywed to a very sweet man. Who, might I add, helped me with the nightmare that was my Internet service at the studio.![]()
In 2007, Kim lost two very beautiful daughters, Jessica and Kelli. I know how difficult it is to lose someone and I feel connected to her because of this. Her strength and faith has really been an inspiration. I find that peaceful. I was honored to have her as part of this shoot. Be sure to support their scholarship program in memory of Jessica & Kelli.
With a very classic look, I think she did amazing…don’t you think? Thanks Kim!

I put a call out for brides wanting to trash their dresses for me on Twitter and Facebook, and in a matter of hours we had four willing models lined up. I have wanted to do this type of session forever and really want to show off these types of images in our more conservative region of the United States. It’s something that I think can be a lot of fun.
With many reasons to do a session like this – do you really think you’ll wear your dress again in 20 years? Did you just get divorced? Why not have fun and feel like a fashion model for the day? If you’re not that type, no biggy!
