Trash the Dress, Rock the Dress, Bridal – whatever you want to call it, it was rainy and cold! And, Sarah rocked it out! Don’t you think? Our first bride, straight from Chicago, wanted to rock out her dress for us and she looked fabulous. P.S. love those kicks! Since it was so rainy and chilly and grey outside, I decided to work with off camera flash to create a more dramatic effect here. Grunged up the look of the photos with textures and cross processing techniques. Shot around the outside of my studio in Manchester, I love the mood in them! Sarah, thanks so much for doing this!

I put a call out for brides wanting to trash their dresses for me on Twitter and Facebook, and in a matter of hours we had four willing models lined up. I have wanted to do this type of session forever and really want to show off these types of images in our more conservative region of the United States. It’s something that I think can be a lot of fun.
With many reasons to do a session like this – do you really think you’ll wear your dress again in 20 years? Did you just get divorced? Why not have fun and feel like a fashion model for the day? If you’re not that type, no biggy!
