That’s SOME ‘STACHE!

My brother has been such a tremendous help with electrical work here in the house. I can’t thank him enough. I feed him when he’s over. Jake is a St. Louis City EMS/Paramedic and housed in the roughest part of the city, north STL. He sees it all, and some that I can’t even bear to hear about. He could be resting at home on his off days, but he doesn’t. He helps me. This weekend, Jake turns 23 (yes, he’s the baby) and the older he gets, the more and more I see my dad in him. Particularly in the fact that Jake decided to grow a mustache for Movember, and kept it going. Just like my dad had when he was younger, and in the Navy.

I particularly love that we did some “badass” photos with the Lebowski sunglasses.I took a lot more, but just a few that I edited today.

Yesterday, he asked me if I would take some pictures of how his mustache was coming in. So, we went up to my studio. It was cold in there. BRRRR. It’s a mess, too. Being I am not shooting studio anymore, the heat is off and I keep the power off as much as possible. But, we pushed through and did what we could. With fuses in strobes blowing (from the cold, I am sure). I wish I could shoot at home, but my city does not allow a studio in the house.
