Being Prepared

A post on being prepared…re: chalkboards.

They are coming this weekend. I am trying to think ahead and prepare to put together an actual storefront online rather than ETSY for ordering and more control over payment options and shipping. Sort of last minute. Plus, I’m painting and painting and painting those chalkboards.

While I am working my fingers to the bone, I have to stop a little to build a brand for the creative end of things. Whatcha think?

I’ve hired Amy Kant Designs to do the coding for me…because let’s face it…I rip my hair out, curse at the monitor and drive myself batty trying to do that stuff. One thing I’ve learned in business, outsource what you are not good at doing (like accounting. CRAP, I gotta get my tax stuff to my accountant!).

So, to help you be prepared. I have decided that I will have the ETSY store for this first round, complete and online at 2 p.m. CST on Saturday. These, of course, are first-come, first serve. And, as I prepare, I promise we’ll take orders for those that miss out. We just want to really see which designs sell the best and what demands we’re getting from everyone. I love LOVE LOVE the handmade process, but handmade means slower. However, totally worth it.

Can’t wait!
